General Overview of CorelDRAW
CorelDRAW is a desktop software for illustration and design, which comes in many versions. The main three licenses for creating and designing illustrations are CorelDRAW Standard, Essentials and Graphics Suite. As they are intended for various audiences and needs, understanding the differences between the three licenses is beneficial for users. Further, in this blog, you can read more about the CorelDRAW licenses Standard, Essentials and Graphics Suite and which one would serve you the best.
CorelDRAW Essentials
CorelDRAW Essentials is a graphic design software mostly used by creative and occasional graphic users. As the most affordable of the three licenses, CorelDRAW Essentials is often used for educational and or business purposes. This license is only suitable for Windows and contains the applications CorelDRAW Essentials and Corel PHOTO-PAINT Essentials.
CorelDRAW Standard
CorelDRAW Standard is somewhat more advanced than the Essential license. Therefore, it is mostly intended for graphic enthusiasts, small businesses and students. This license offers more creative control next to the powerful photo editing features. This license is as well only suitable for Windows and contains the applications CorelDRAW Standard and Corel PHOTO-PAINT Standard.
CorelDRAW Graphics Suite
CorelDRAW Graphics Suite is the most elaborate license of the three. As such it is mainly used by graphic design professionals and businesses of all sizes. This license is available for Windows, Mac and as an online version. With CorelDRAW Graphics Suite you have many more features such as photo editing, collaboration, vector illustration, and professional print abilities. The applications that you get with the Graphics Suite are CorelDRAW, Corel PHOTO-PAINT, CorelDRAW.app, CAPTURE, Corel Font Manager, and AfterShot 3 HDR.
Main Differences
The three CorelDRAW licenses serve different purposes and are therefore used by different audience groups. If you are more of a creative person who uses graphics software on the side, then CorelDRAW Essentials is the license for you. CorelDRAW Standard is a great fit for graphics enthusiasts and small businesses. Should you be a professional graphic designer, then CorelDRAW Graphics Suite is your license. Businesses of all sizes can also benefit from this software.
Another main difference between the three is the software compatibility. CorelDRAW Essentials and Standard are only available for Windows while CorelDRAW Graphics Suite can be used on Windows, Mac, and as a web version.
